Let α1,α2,α3,α4\alpha_1, \alpha_2, \alpha_3, \alpha_4 be an A.P. of four terms such that each term of the A.P. and its common difference ll are integers. If α1+α2+α3+α4=48\alpha_1 + \alpha_2 + \alpha_3 + \alpha_4 = 48 and α1α2α3α4+l4=361\alpha_1\alpha_2\alpha_3\alpha_4 + l^4 = 361 then the largest term of the A.P. is equal to
  1. (1)27
  2. (2)24
  3. (3)21
  4. (4)23
We corrected a printing error in the original paper

Source printed “α1,α2,α3,α4+l4=361\alpha_1, \alpha_2, \alpha_3, \alpha_4 + l^4 = 361” (commas instead of the product α1α2α3α4\alpha_1\alpha_2\alpha_3\alpha_4).
